What's The 411 TV checked in with C. Knox LaSister, an urban planner, and real estate attorney, when he held an opening reception for Homage, a group art exhibit celebrating the work of his mother, Myra Pankey LaSister, and other artists. Renowned artist and illustrator, Al Johnson, curated the exhibit, which was held in a stylish "pop-up" gallery, called Knox Gallery located in a West Harlem townhouse that is awaiting sale.
Al Johnson is also the Creative Director of Knox Gallery. The event brought out Harlem and New York City art lovers and those who just enjoy a good party, including Congressman Gregory W. Meeks from Queens.
In addition to the joyful paintings of Ms. LaSister, the exhibit featured the work of Ademola Olugebefola, Adger Cowans, Al Johnson, Jennifer Anne Moses, Mary Zee, Omo Misha, Otto Neals and Tomo Mori.
Barbara Bullard conducted the interviews.
