Rappper COMMON will speak about his life and career at the Second Annual GANTT SYMPOSIUM At The Gantt Center, in Charlotte, North Carolina on October 2nd.

MTV has annouced Rapper JA RULE will star in his own reality series that will feature his family and is patterned after the T.I. AND TINY show called, FOLLOW THE RULES.

THE ANNUAL CIRCLE OF SISTER'S EXPO 2014 will be at the Jacob Javits Center, in New York City, on October 4th-5th.

BRUNO MARS posted on Facebook that he will begin work on his third studio album.

ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY reports that CBS has given a script commitment for a medical drama produced by HALLE BERRY AND HOUSE Executive Producer KATIE JACOBS.

NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell Get Called on the Carpet

It is obvious that NFL Commissioner Roger Goodelll would be called on the carpet.

Many people just don't believe that the NFL could not get its hands on the now infamous Ray Rice elevator video. Many people also don't believe that Commissioner Goodell had not seen the video before TMZ released its copy.

Vogue Magazine Gets Lesson in Power of New Media with Era of Big Booty Declaration

Vogue magazine got smacked down for Columbusing after declaring that "we're officially in the year of the big booty," referencing the appeal of the round butts of Jennifer Lopez (J-Lo) and Iggy Azalea. The Twittersphere, particularly, Black Twitter, jumped all over Vogue magazine with the #VogueArticles on tweets to display the absurdity of Vogue's "discovery."

There were tweets with "Miley Cyrus created twerking," Bo Derek was the first to wear cornrows, and Macklemore created socially-conscious rap lyrics.

Nicki Minaj Denied Opportunity to Speak at Old School

The principal at Fiorello LaGuardia High School for the Performing Arts denied rapper and actress Nicki Minaj's request to speak with the students at her old school. At issue was that the principal would not allow cameras in the school. Additionally, Nicki could speak, but during non-school hours and without the cameras.

With these parameters, Nicki took to Twitter proclaiming that it looks like she was not good enough to speak at her old school.

If Nicki really wants to speak to the students should she comply with the school's rules or make other arrangements?

Class v. Race: Is Racism Over in the United States and Now It's All About Class?

Basketball great Kareem Abdul Jabbar wrote an article in Time magazine about the role that class played in the shooting death of Michael Brown in Ferguson, Missouri. In effect, Jabbar says that the police action was probably based less on skin color and more likely related to the poverty level of the victim meaning that class mattered more than race.

It's no surprise that the What's The 411 panel would hold very passionate views on the subject of class vs. race. And, as one would expect, the video below features a no holds barred conversation on the subject.
