Peyton Manning on Developing Synergy

PEYTON MANNING: To form the timing that we have in just two years with guys like Decker and Thomas, it's a real credit to those guys for putting in the hard work. And, then Welker in just this first year, he and I have been on a cram session since April, talking after practice, working out routes because we can't get to the timing that he and Brady had that took 6 years of hard work together. But, Wes and I don't have six years left to play together so we really crammed this year same with Julius Thomas and then Adam Gage really helped me with learning the new offense. He met me halfway on some play that I ran in my earlier offense. He said there's some new plays that I think you would like. I'll help you learn them. He and Mike McCoy last year really helped out a lot with that.

WATCH SAM GARNES VIDEO INTERVIEW HERE

Andrew Rosario: You look great man; what are you doing these days with the Broncos?

SAM GARNES: I'm coaching the DB. I'm an assistant DBs coach. I'm trying to help lead them to a victory this weekend.

Andrew Rosario: So you got your hands filled because that Seattle offense is pretty potent with RUSSELL WILSON and their wideouts, as well.

SAM GARNES: It's very, very potent, a lot of people, you hear those guys talk about they are under-rated. They are not under-rated to us. We watch the tape. They are explosive, talented, and they have a great quarterback leading them so.

Andrew Rosario: From an offensive stand point, what do you do to try to offset what they want to do?

SAM GARNES: You just try to do the things you've been doing all year-long which is to do it better. That's all I could say you know.

Andrew Rosario: Now what do you miss most about the game?

SAM GARNES: One thing you miss is usually when you're playing you miss the camaraderie of being around your teammates. But, when you coach you get that, and physically I feel like I can't do it anymore so I don't miss playing so much. I enjoy watching the young guys grow and go out there and put together the game plan they go out there and execute that. I get a lot of joy out of that.

Andrew Rosario: What do you tell the younger guys who are experiencing something like this for the very first time?

SAM GARNES: I tell them I've been through this, it's something that you enjoy but it's not something you don't want to enjoy this two weeks after the Championship, you want to enjoy this for several months and beyond.

Andrew Rosario: What do you want to do after the Broncos? Any envision coming back to the Giants and Jets in any capacity?

SAM GARNES: Well you know I work for the Broncos and that's my focus right now, my focus is just winning the Super Bowl. I have a two-year contract I'm happy being with the Broncos.

Andrew Rosario: Last question, what's it going to take for your guys to come out on top at the end of the game?

SAM GARNES: Just have to have one more point than they do at the end of the game. But, really, you just got out there and execute and hopefully just play better than them.

Andrew Rosario: Well you look like you're in playing shape yourself you know that.

SAM GARNES: I appreciate that I work hard I probably lost a couple of pounds in the last couple of years. But, I feel great.

Andrew Rosario: Excellent, man, good luck it's been great seeing you.

SAM GARNES: Great seeing you as well.

Percy Harvin Talks Injury and Preparing for Super Bowl

What's The 411Sports correspondent Andrew Rosario caught up with Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Percy Harvin at Super bowl Media Day 2014.

Based in Brooklyn, NY, WHAT'S THE 411Sports is an independently produced sports news and commentary television show. The weekly show, hosted by BIANCA PEART and GLENN GILLIAM, and correspondents CHRISTOPHER GRAHAM and GREGORY ALCALA cover the people, the issues, and the whole nine.

WATCH VIDEO INTERVIEW WITH PERCY HARVIN

PERCY HARVIN: By not being able to play and finally getting over all my hip things and I'm feeling good, playing in the game with no restrictions and then to go down with a head injury, man, I couldn't, I was just saying to myself, why me? How did this happen? So it was definitely a crazy feeling for me, as we caught that pick, man, my heart dropped.

ANDREW ROSARIO: So now you're at the big game do you change anything preparing for the game physically, mentally, or is it all gang busters?

PERCY HARVIN: Nothing at all; that's been our big goal for the last two weeks from the first message coach gave us, keep everything the exact same. Prepare the way we prepare so we definitely put in a lot of our game plan. When I was home we got busy we got a lot done so our game plan is in just tweaking a little a little bit of things we're ready to go.

ANDREW ROSARIO: There's not one guy on your team that has Super Bowl experience. Is that something you talk about at all? Have you called anybody that has played in this game to get an idea what you're up against?

PERCY HARVIN: We actually haven't. I think that's what giving us that edge right now. Nobody else won the Super Bowl on this team, and we're all very, very hungry right now. We got to have it; it has to come back to Seattle. We all have that mindset right now. The look in those guys' eyes, we got to have it.

ANDREW ROSARIO: Does the Legion of Boom work from the offensive standpoint, as well, or is that strictly defense?

PERCY HARVIN: That's strictly a defensive thing, that's their world.

ANDREW ROSARIO: How would you describe your offense then?

PERCY HARVIN: We will be explosive. We definitely will be explosive. It would be good to join the guys Doug, Kearse, Big Beast Mode and led by the man in charge No. 3 so we're definitely going to be explosive and we are looking to make new plays in this game.

Richard Sherman on Macklemore

What's The 411Sports correspondent Andrew Rosario spoke with Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman at Super Bowl 2014 Media Day.

RICHARD SHERMAN: MACKLEMORE is as cool as a frozen fan, man. He's a great guy. He's a really cool guy. He's a great part of Seattle. Oh man, I say congratulations man that's big for him. I think all his accomplishments and everything, he deserves. He worked hard. He came from the bottom, he worked hard. He didn't take the easy way. He took the hardest route you could take and he deserves everything he's gotten.

Richard Sherman on his Biggest Asset

What's The 411Sports correspondent Andrew Rosario checked in with Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman at Super Bowl Media Day 2014, as Sherman spoke about his biggest assets.

WATCH VIDEO INTERVIEW WITH RICHARD SHERMAN

RICHARD SHERMAN: I think I would describe myself as a tenacious defender, somebody who doesn't take plays off and plays the game really well. I would say my length is my biggest asset. I have long arms, long legs and I'm able to get into a lot of places that people don't think you can get too. I think that being a great defender means you don't take days off you work hard; you're part of the team. You understand the integrity of the defense. You understand what your job is in terms of whole defense, what everybody job is, and you never want to let anybody down.

Confidence No Stranger to Seattle Seahawks Richard Sherman

ANDREW ROSARIO: Does it help you at all to have not a dislike, but to have something that you don't like about your opponent to help your game?

RICHARD SHERMAN: I think it does help to have a certain attitude and a certain mindset about your opponent especially to play defender to play corner and to be out there on the island. KAM CHANCELLOR calls it the dark place and he has a really dark place that he goes. I really don't want to go there. Listen there's some fantastic receivers out there CALVIN JOHNSON, JOSH GORDON, DEMARYIUS, ANDRE JOHNSON, LARRY FITZGERALD, MICHAEL FLOYD, DEZ BRYANT. There's a lot of great receivers playing great football out there, 2 great receivers playing in Chicago in BRANDON MARSHALL and those guys do a great job. In Green Bay they got receivers. I respect the tremendous amount of receivers because they play the game well and they play the game like they suppose too.

US Patent Office Cancels Trademark for Washington Redskins Football Team

Give this round to Native Americans and their supporters.

The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office canceled the trademarks for the Washington Redskins team's name on Wednesday.

Team owner Dan Snyder has come under increasing fire recently for refusing to change the team's name, which is widely seen as insensitive to Native Americans.

The decision from the U.S. administrator read, "We decide, based on the evidence properly before us, that these registrations must be cancelled because they were disparaging to Native Americans at the respective times they were registered," the board wrote in its opinion, which can be found here.

The ruling does not force the team to abandon the name, but does allow others to use it without risking patent infringement litigation.

The move affects six registrations and was brought about by a petition from five Native Americans. The office found that "a substantial composite of Native Americans found the term REDSKINS to be disparaging in connection with respondent's services during the relevant time frame of 1967-1990."

Amanda Blackhorse, one of the people who filed the case, told Think Progress that she hopes this move helps spur a new name for the team.

"It is a great victory for Native Americans and for all Americans. We filed our petition eight years ago and it has been a tough battle ever since. I hope this ruling brings us a step closer to that inevitable day when the name of the Washington football team will be changed," she reportedly said.

This is not the first time the patent office has revoked the team's trademark on the name. A 1992 ruling by the administrator was overturned by a U.S. District Court in the District of Columbia. The Native American legal team appealed the District Court's ruling to the U.S. Supreme Court. However, the high court refused to hear the case and issued a one-line ruling.

The team name has been a point of controversy for decades, but recent calls for it to be changed have grown louder. Even a commercial aired during a recent NBA Finals game urging the team to change its name. The team's owner has rejected those efforts.

A Twitter campaign by the team to mobilize its fans around the name failed miserably. The team tried to get fans to tweet Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid to show pride for the team. However, the backlash against the team and the Twitter campaign was swift and furious.

The team is confident that it will prevail on appeal.

What do you think? Will the Washington football team ultimately change its name? If the matter goes to federal court again, will the USPTO ruling stand or fall?

Boxer Zab Judah Number One in the World and Itching for a Fight

What's The 411's Andrew Rosario was bizzeee at the Garcia v. Morales fight at the Barclays Center on Saturday, October 20, 2012.
Wow, this was boxing in Brooklyn, baby! The first time in more than 80 years! And, on this night, there were so many people to talk to about boxing. Seeing Zab "Super" Judah, Andrew excitedly greets him.

"What would boxing be in Brooklyn without Zab Judah, man, how you doing?! What do you think of the whole night, what's going?"

"I call this a soft opening right now, because a hard opening is going to be when Super Judah steps in there," Judah replies.

"But, so far tonight, it has been a great night of boxing, it is great to see the people come out tonight, and to have a place for Brooklyn to have boxing now," Judah continued.

Judah is expecting to fight Lamont Peterson as soon as Peterson signs the contract, which Judah hopes to be soon.

Although Judah is excited about boxing in Brooklyn, it will not be a dream come true for him until he gets the opportunity to step his feet into the ring.

So what will Super Judah's emotions be like when he finally steps into the ring?

It is hard to tell, but Judah said without hesitation, "I'm going to be turned up."

Danny Jacobs Survives Cancer and His First Fight Back in the Boxing Ring

What's The 411's Andrew Rosario was bizzeee at the Garcia v. Morales fight at the Barclays Center on Saturday, October 20, 2012.

Wow, this was boxing in Brooklyn, baby! The first time in more than 80 years! And, on this night, there were so many people to talk to about boxing.

Andrew spoke with boxer Danny Jacobs in the media room at the Barclays Center after Jacobs won his fight against Josh Luteran by a knockout. Jacobs won at 1:13 of the first round on the undercard of the Barclays Center's inaugural boxing card of Garcia v. Morales.

This was Jacobs' first fight after fighting his most deadly opponent, cancer.

"I am on Cloud Nine, the feeling that I had, even right now, it's been hours after the fight, I'm still floating," Jacobs said reflecting on his win.

"I wasn't supposed to be here, this moment was not promised, the doctors said it would never happen," Jacobs continued.

What's next for Jacobs?

"I want to stay active as possible, I am not looking to call anyone out, I am not looking to fight any specific people, but I do want to step up gradually and appropriately," he responded.

Sounds like Danny Jacobs has a good head on his shoulders.
